I'm an LA-based writer/editor, currently serving as an audio acquisitions editor for Brilliance Publishing/Amazon. Prior to taking that position, I served as publishing director at Zest Books for six years, and spent another year as a contributing editor at FLOOD Magazine. I've written two nonfiction books, and my criticism has appeared in Brooklyn Magazine, Slate, and more. I have more bad ideas than good, and I have a fair amount of trouble distinguishing between those two things. My good ideas include: a book of literary maps, an adaptation of Brothers Karamazov set in the wild west, and an end to platform-specific streaming guides (NYT’s Watching feature just didn’t go far enough!); my bad ideas include: an update of Ivanhoe set at Medieval Times; a new Christmas mascot known as Christmas Crab, and intentionally choosing to watch and root for United States Soccer Men.

I’m currently working on a very conventional screenplay that absolutely does not feature any bad ideas or Christmas Crabs.
